Cham museum
This museum is located in the heart of the city, was built in 1915 under the sponsorship of the French Instiue of Oriental Studies (EFEO). This is the only place where the unique sculptural works of Champa Kingdom which were collected in decades through various areas covering the whole central part of Vietnam nowadays have been shown since the Museum was founded (1915).

This Museum was built in accordance with Cham architectural type, of 12 rooms, in which 10 used for show rooms, and each of them named a region of which the things were actually found. In the middle part of the Museum, they present the religious and artistic activities of Cham in Simhapura Capital (now is Tra Kieu).
There is a souvenir shop where you can choose the stone item imitated the sculptural works of the Champa art.

K20 vestige sector

The K20 vestige sector of revolutionary history is located on the area of Khoi Pho Da Man, Bac My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son district.


K20 was one the important revolutionary bases of Da Nang during the last war. It was an area of 3 square kilometre with over three thousand inhabitants. After occupying Da Nang in 1954, the American and puppet regime established many posts around DaMan sub – ward, to form an organ to repress the people, to prevent the Revolution force from the outside of the city. In such a condition, the revolutionary movement. By which, there are many facts and historical marks which have been lively expanded in the people and noted by the history. Specially in 1962, in this region, they organized a strong guerillas’ unit to realize the mission ” to kill the tyrants and destroy pincers”. In 1964, this unit had 27 members, killed 12 tyrants, destroyed many strategic hamlets,…Almost of families in DaMan sub – ward at that time had secret underground hideout to hide and nourish the cadres.


The traditional house was built to demonstrate the past heroic period and is part of the educational toms with real people on the spot still alive.

Da Nang beach

Da Nang has 30kms of length of beaches. Famous with many beautiful beaches scattering from north to south such as Nam O, Xuan Thieu, Thanh Binh, Son Tra, My Khe, Bac My An, Non Nuoc…among these, there are beaches that were well known as places of most ideal in the area for holidays, relaxing on beaches, or swimming. Da nang beach has small waves with calm and blue water. The water is less polluted. Salt degree is about 60%, safety degree is high. In some places, there are a lot of coral, living creature and botanic sources along the coast and in the sea are rich. One special thing is that all the beaches lie near the city center, with convenient roads and tourists can get to the beaches by various means of transport can swim almost all the year round. But more favorable is in Summer, from about May to August.


Along the beaches, there are hotels, guest houses, restaurants, and abundant of services that create good condition for tourists in swimming, playing, entertainment, and relaxing on the beaches. May types can be developed: fishing, surfing, diving, boating,…on the beaches of Da Nang.

The safeguard team on Da Nang beaches works from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM everyday to ensure the safety and relaxing for tourists on the beaches.


The Cathedral (Cathedral Parish)

Address : 156 Tran Phu Street.

Catholicism was introduced into Quang Nam Da Nang in the first years of the 17th century, but until 1887, the first parish was established with Rev.Laurent, a French priest, as Vicar. The church began to be build in 1923 with 70m hight under the responsibility of Rev. Louis Vallet. The architecture of the church was gothic type with lofty roofs and peaks and curve arches.


Inside of the church, there are many statues and images illustrated from Bible; the decoration is in accordance with the European catholic churches in the middle ages. At the back of the church there is a rock cave, imitation of Lourdres one in France. The Cathedral has many different names: Tourance church (in the French age), Cock church (because of a cock image on the top of the cross of church), and since 1963, this church has been called the Cathedral of Da Nang.
